Fabrics and objects of wearable art made from a variety of materials are featured in the exhibition. The designs are striking examples of abstract and geometric patterns unique to specific African Tribal groups. The exhibition will include extraordinary fabrics, clothing, and objects of art that serve as symbols of beliefs, cultural motifs and positions of power within cultures of the African continent. The collection will be organized around geographical and historical perspectives.
