Colors, shadows, and shapes flit in and out of perception as the mobiles move about in the light. Some of the shapes were inspired by petroglyphs, now freed from their static existence on cave walls. The surfaces of the materials interact with the light in unique ways. Mirrors, dichroic objects, glass blocks, specialty papers, mylar, feathers, bones, wire, nylon line, ghords, dried weeds, sticks, and found objects are used in this work.
When everything goes right a mobile is a piece of poetry that dances with the joy of life and surprises - Alexander Calder
