From Old Hollywood to Contemporary Portugal - A RANGE OF ICONS
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I moved to the art colony of Laguna Beach, California, in my late teens. I began drawing and painting classes in the studio of a portrait painter and throughout the years, the human figure has remained my main focus.
Long time proximity to Hollywood is reflected in this paper doll series of movie star icons.
My environment is represented throughout the main body of my artwork.
For the past 9 years I've been dividing my time between State College and Cascais, Portugal. I had a lot of fun making these collages using labels of the iconic #1 beer in Portugal, Super Bock.
Cheers!
